Welcome to the new site! It's mostly the same as the old site, except that now the pages on the
parent site have been merged
into the blog. I had high hopes for putting in previous/next links and a better archive system,
but it turns out that there are no end of things I'd rather do than hack better navigation links into
Bloxsom's static mode. If I start posting a lot, I'll just switch to a more capable blog platform.
Also: contrary to previous posts in this series, hot pots will
destroy themselves if you let the
water boil off. They just don't explode.
UPDATE 2008-NOV-17: I haven't started posting a lot.
So in between the time I wrote that last installment
and the time I got around to putting it up, the local arthouse theatre has actually put up the
posters for Howl. I need to switch
to a blog setup where writing an entry and posting it is one step.
Hey, I'm listed by Google again.
Also, the archive links up top have always been there. I wouldn't forget something obvious like that.
The RSS feed validates now, or
at least comes as close as I can
get it without moving to a real hosting service. (The MIME type comes back as text/plain, and
there's no way to reconfigure that with my current setup.)
Q: What is this page?
A: A fun experiment.
Q: Why did you create it?
A: The rest of the site was getting musty.
Q: Why did you create the site in the first place?
A: It came free with my e-mail account.
Q: So would this be one of those solutions that came before the problem, then?
A: Yeah, but it's entertaining.
